(i) The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that Fire Door inspections be carried out by a competent person – someone with the necessary knowledge, training, and experience. This course aims to provide the knowledge required but a person’s competency should also depend on their individual experience.

(ii) The required level of Fire Safety training / awareness within your specific workplace / building is determined by the Responsible Person completing a suitable and sufficient Fire Safety Risk Assessment.

(iii) All Fire Safety Risk Assessments are different and different buildings will come with different Hazards, Risks & required Control Measures. An individual’s Fire Safety competency will depend on individual assessment, which should be completed by the Responsible Person prior to assigning any Fire Safety responsibilities.
