Welcome to your online course and thank you for choosing to learn with Health & Safety Training 1st. Your course is mobile friendly, valid for 90 days and during this time you can complete it at your own pace.
Course Objectives
The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in construction & give learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely. Successful learners who also complete the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Knowledge Test are able to apply for the CSCS Labourer card.
On completion of this course learners should be able to demonstrate a knowledge of:
- Health & Safety Law
- The principles of Risk Assessment
- Methods to improve Health & Safety at work
- Risks to health in the construction environment
- How to work safely around Plant & Equipment
- Working safely at Height
- Safe Manual Handling
Your final exam will be online, and will require:
- Internet access
- A laptop, or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speakers (Windows 10 or higher / Mac OS X / Chrome OS)
- Mobile device with a camera (smartphone / tablet)
- Valid Photo ID
Where possible, you should use a personal computer / laptop. Work computers / laptops may have restricted access and admin rights installed. This can cause issues when trying to access the exam platform.

(i) This course and all of its relevant materials must be fully completed by you prior to completing a test.
(ii) This course is designed to provide knowledge required to pass the Level 1 Health and Safety Awareness, and Health and Safety Training 1st accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to persons or equipment from its application or interpretation.
