(ii) The required level of training / awareness for Fire Stopping within a specific building / construction is determined by the legislation set out for the specific type of building / construction.
(iii) All buildings / constructions are different & will come with different Hazards, Risks & required Control Measures. An individual’s competency to manage, install, or inspect Fire Stopping will depend on individual assessment, which should be completed prior to assigning any responsibilities.
(iv) An individual’s competency to perform Fire Stopping duties will depend on individual competency, which should also consider the nature of the site / building / construction, the work being completed & their specific assigned responsibilities in comparison to previous experience.
