The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures, and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce. The SSSTS course is endorsed by Build UK and exceeds the standard set by CITB for construction supervisors training and aims to help site supervisors: Supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role; develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare of workers on site; recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly.

By purchasing the SSSTS course learners agree:

1. They must complete the full course (15 hours over 2 days) to be eligible for certification.

2. To attend the days in order

3.  That if they don't complete the two full days, pass the trainer review and pass the end of course examination will not be issued with a certificate. Learners who fail to complete the Pre course checks may be refused entry to the course and may be automatically allocated the ebook for mandatory publications.

4. If they are unable to attend both days due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. certificated sickness) they will need to enrol onto a new course and, to maintain continuity of learning outcomes, must attend both days again within two weeks. In the event this is not possible no refund will be payable

There will be no refund payable where a delegate does not complete 2 consecutive days & 15 hours of the course.

Course places are limited and following the completion of the CITB Pre Course Form (SSSTS) form delegates will be registered and no refund will be payable. Course dates can be rearranged for an administrative charge of £125.00 + vat if requested via email to courses@healthandsafetytraining1st.co.uk, 96 hours before the start of the course.

Resit Procedure
The trainer's review has been passed & a score of 70% - 77% (21,22, 23/ 30) in the exam has been achieved, with all the safety critical questions passed. Where a score of 67% or less is achieved, no free resit is available. There is a charge of 50% of the course for resits that don't meet this criteria or where resits aren't taken on the 2nd day of the course.
